Frank Iero Donates My Chemical Romance Era Guitar To Charity Auction

Frank Iero's donating one of his old guitars to a good cause. The My Chemical Romance guitarist is one of many musicians contributing to a charity auction hosted by the Innocent Lives Foundation — an organization thats goal is to reveal child predators and bring them to justice. Hardcore MCR fans can bid on a signed, smashed red Epiphone Dot that Iero broke onstage during a tour “probably around early to mid-2000s,” and has held onto ever since.

The rockstar shared the news through a video on Instagram. "Who wants to help out an important cause and bid on a carefully maintained, well cared for guitar?" he captioned the post. "If so, then head on over to @innocentlivesfoundation and click the link in the bio!!!! Thank you!"

The guitar is currently going for $1502, and bidding goes until 11:59pm on December 17. Aside from Iero, members of Thursday, Foo Fighters, Slipknot and No Doubt also donated items to the auction. Bid on Iero's guitar here and check out what else is up for grabs here.

Iero will be making new memories with his MCR bandmates next month and into 2020, when the band embarks on its reunion tour.
