Mark Wahlberg to Speak at Bakersfield Fundraiser

Looks like Bakersfield is getting a visit from actor/rapper/producer/hamburgerer Mark Wahlberg...and it's all to help out a great local non-profit!

Via Bakersfield.com:

Mark Wahlberg will guest speak at Hoffman Hospice 25th annual Voices of Inspiration on March 7.

The fundraiser, held at Rabobank Theater, helps raise funds for Hoffman Hospice's programs and services throughout Kern County.

Guests will enjoy entertainment, cocktails, raffle opportunities and dinner, followed by a first-class live auction.

Let me tell you about how great Hoffman Hospice is for a moment. I have had the pleasure of talking with folks from the organization and I am always impressed by how they try to contribute to the community. They are a non-profit organization that works to ensure that hospice services can be available to people regardless of their financial situation. Not a plug, just saying...every time I talk with these people for the PSA show, my heart swells. If you want to learn more about all that they do, go HERE.
