Rivers Cuomo Covered Smashing Pumpkins, REM, and More

Before Weezer did that show to benefit firefighters, the band's lead man was busy doing his own solo gig. Via Alternative Press:

The special concert, dubbed "An Evening With Rivers Cuomo," found the veteran tunesmith busting out some classic '90s rock hits among intimate, acoustic versions of popular Weezer jams such as "Island In The Sun," "Pork And Beans" and "Buddy Holly" at The Hi Hat club on Saturday.

He also did some covers, including songs from R.E.M., The Smashing Pumpkins, Pixies, and Oasis. Basically, he did music for my stupid heart.

In the fan-captured solo Cuomo footage below, catch the R.E.M. cover at the 1:11 mark, the Smashing Pumpkins tune at around 5:34, Oasis at 1:27:32 and Pixies at 1:44:30.
