In 1996, the 38th annual Grammy Awards were held in LA. There, Nirvana won the trophy for Best Alternative Music Performance for their MTV Unplugged in New York album.
One of those weird, The Grammys Got it Right moments. Now, obviously this was almost two years after Kurt passed away, so maybe the Grammys were leaning on that. But looking back, it probably would have won anyway.
In honor of this moment, here is MOST of the Unplugged show. Some things were taken out due to copyright laws, but I think you get the gist of "The Man Who Sold the World" and "All Apologies." Hell, I'll play those today because I can. So. Yeah.
