If you're thinking there's ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO IN BAKERSFIELD AND EVERYTHING IS JUST THE WORSE...well, you may be wrong. The folks at Bored in Bakersfield have been covering events and cool places all over Kern County to prove that-yes-there are plenty of things in our lil' city. I get to talk with Naomi from Bored in Bakersfield a bit and she's always good tips on what's going down. For the month of July, this includes:
Fireworks Show at Riverwalk on July 4th at 6 p.m.
Tehachapi Hot Dog Festival on July 4th from 6 a.m.-9 p.m. The night will close out with fireworks.
City of Taft's 4th of July celebration happening on July 4th. It starts at 4 p.m., located over on 6th and Main. Lots to do and see, including fireworks!
Slidefest-cool waterslides to help you cool off during Bakersfield's run in with hot weather. They're open every weekend from 11 a.m.- 7 p.m.. This will ALSO apply to July 4th! You can find them located at 9400 Alfred Harrell Highway. Get more info HERE!
On July 15th, you have the Tehachapi Mountain Beer and Wine Festival! With craft beer, wine, music, and a lot of food, you can experience cooler weather in Tehachapi from 4-8 p.m. AND help out local Kern County charities! More info can be found HERE!
By the way, HUGE thank you to Naomi and the rest of the folks at Bored in Bakersfield for covering Free 4 All 10! Check out their footage below:
