Kern County Animal Services needs... bananas?!?

Yep. You read that right. Kern County Animal Services needs bananas! And all the other items you see below! Plain yogurt, frozen blueberries, chicken broth, ice cube trays, muffin tins, and radios! Pet toys are also needed! These items will be used to make the 4th Of July special and less stressful for the homeless pets in our county shelter. The toys will keep them distracted during fireworks and the radios will help to down out the sounds. The food items will be used to make tasty treats like the ones shown below! This is another example of how you can help pets in need without even adopting one! Just drop off your donation at the Kern County Animal Services shelter at 3951 Fruitvale Avenue!

And if the idea of helping these pets REALLY tickles your fancy, ask about the Volunteer and Foster programs at KCAS! For volunteer info call Jeff at 661-868-7130. To learn about the foster program call Deanna at 661-868-7131.
