Got an email from Nick Cullen, the director of Kern County Animal Services. It's important that all dog owners read it!
"I'm writing to let you know of a potential epidemic getting ready to hit Kern County. As some of you may now, the new strain of Canine Influenza is encroaching on Kern County's borders. Cases in California have turned up in Southern California, including L.A. County, Northern California, and now most recently a few days ago in Fresno County. With as much transportation of animals that occurs in and through Kern County, it is only a matter of time before Canine Influenza hits us. It can be deadly. There is a vaccine, and we offer that vaccine for just $10, with a booster required for maximum immunity."
Critters Without Litters also offers the Canine Influenza vaccine for just $12.
