Dave Grohl Is Developing a TV Series With His Mom

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and his mother, Virginia Grohl, are collaborating on a new TV documentary series.

Variety recently confirmed the reports. The series is being produced by Live Nation. It's based on Virginia's 2017 book, From Cradle to Stage, and bears the same name.

The series will feature Virginia interviewing moms of other famous musicians. The mothers of Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello, Maroon 5's Adam Levine and Pharrell Williams have already been announced as guests.

"I'm excited to introduce the viewing public to the strong, loving women who have supported the insistent dreams of their musical sons and daughters," Virginia said in a statement. "Viewers will join all the mothers around a table when they meet for the first time at a celebratory dinner, where secrets and stories will be shared and compared."

"I'm beyond excited to join in on the next step of my mother's project to explore the stories of other musicians who were as fortunate as me, having been raised by such amazing women," Dave added. "Plus...I owe her one."

From Cradle to Stage is Live Nation Productions' first television project. No network partner has yet been announced.
