Since Chester Bennington jumped into Stone Temple Pilots and took over for Scott Weiland, there's been a bit of chatter regarding replacement singers in bands. Consequence of Sound compiled a list of the best and worst replacements to come out of losing a lead singer. Again, I don't DARE make lists like these myself. I like feeling safe at night.

The Best:

AC/DC- Brian Johnson replacing Bon Scott

Van Halen- Sammy Hagar replacing David Lee Roth

Dropkick Murphys- Al Barr replacing Mike McColgan

Pantera- Phil Anselmo replacing Terry Glaze (though, holy crap- THIS old pre-Phil photo)

Also, I mean...thank God for Phil.

Genesis- Phil Collins replacing Peter Gabriel (I have a brother who may disagree with this one)

The Worst:

Van Halen- Gary Cherone replacing Sammy and Dave

Queen- Paul Rodgers replacing Freddie Mercury (though he isn't really replaceable and what about Adam Lambert?)

Sublime (with Rome)- Rome Ramirez replacing Bradley Nowell

Iron Maiden- Blaze Bayley replacing Bruce Dickinson

Velvet Underground- Doug Yule replacing Lou Reed

Read the entire story/list HERE. Some humans I have been wondering about because of this list: Kristen May (taking over singing in Flyleaf), Steve Augeri and everyone else replacing Steve Perry (in Journey), Ronnie James Dio in Black Sabbath, Billy Burnette briefly replacing Lindsey Buckingham in Fleetwood Mac...though there were TWO guitarists who replaced him and couldn't hold a candle to Buckingham. I mean, LOOK.
