With the release of the Wells Report, there's speculation on what the future holds for Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognito. It's not hard to figure out...
Incognito will issue a public aplogy to Martin and his family, his teammates and the Dolphins orginization, and the NFL. He will then undergo counseling for a few months. Afterwards, he'll get involved in some kind of public service or charity orginization. And before the start of the 2015 season, he'll be back on an NFL team. His career is not over. We've seen athletes and celebrities come back from this kind of thing a million times.
Assumming he still wants to play, Martin will land another job as well. When he left the team, he was a starting offensive lineman. Sure, by most accounts he was a struggling offensive lineman, but he's got experience, and will probably come at an affordable price. He might not start for another team, but he'll at least be added for depth. It will take some time for this to happen, but sooner or later it will.
The only thing that might prevent these things from happening is a lawsuit. If that happens, Martin will provide too much of a distraction for any team to deal with. And if he chooses to sue Incognito, the same could be said for him as well.
Lawsuit = Both careers are over
No lawsuit = They'll both be back
